Description

The RAV-ear-IOLI is a fun and crispy twist on classic meat ravioli. Cooked ravioli are pan-fried with garlic and Italian seasoning until golden and crunchy, then topped with Parmesan and fresh herbs. Served with marinara or Alfredo sauce, this appetizer is perfect for parties, snacks, or playful meals.

Ingredients

Scale

Ravioli

  • 1 package (about 9 ounces) fresh or frozen meat ravioli

Seasoning & Cooking

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Garnish & Serving

  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Fresh parsley or basil for garnish (optional)
  • Marinara or Alfredo sauce for dipping (optional)

Instructions

  1. Cook the ravioli: Prepare the meat ravioli according to the package directions until fully cooked. Drain them well and pat dry with paper towels to remove any excess moisture.
  2. Heat the skillet: Place a large skillet over medium heat and add the olive oil, heating it until shimmering but not smoking.
  3. Sauté the ravioli: Add the cooked and dried ravioli to the skillet. Season with garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper. Cook for 4 to 6 minutes, flipping occasionally, until the ravioli develop a golden-brown color with a slightly crispy texture resembling “ears.”
  4. Finish and garnish: Remove the skillet from heat and sprinkle the sautéed ravioli with grated Parmesan cheese. Garnish with fresh parsley or basil if desired.
  5. Serve: Serve the crispy ravioli immediately alongside warm marinara or Alfredo sauce for dipping, enhancing the flavor and fun presentation.

Notes

  • For extra crispiness, air fry the cooked ravioli at 400°F for 5–6 minutes after tossing with a light spray of oil.
  • This recipe is great as a fun appetizer, kids’ snack, or party finger food.
  • You can experiment with different filling types or sauces to suit your taste preferences.
